Hosting a Future MUPC

Bringing a conference such as the MUPC to your campus will help ignite further interest and excitement among your students to pursue their research and other scholarly pursuits.  Students who may otherwise not attend a conference will have the opportunity to mingle with other students and faculty from various schools.  Hosting MUPC can also be beneficial for your department and insitution by drawing attention to the academic rigor of your program and the accomplishments of your student scholars.

If you are interested in hosting MUPC at your institution, please contact MUPC2015@lindenwood.edu or use the Contact link above.  We are currently seeking for a suitable host for the 2016 conference!  Although preference is given to Missouri schools, because of its namesake, we are also open to bringing MUPC to our neighboring States.

"When Westminster hosted the conference, we found it was a great experience for our students. Our psychology students gained event organization experience and bonded with each other over designing t-shirts and staffing the registration tables. It also assisted our recruitment efforts. We invited high schools to the conference, and we also told visiting high school students that Westminster was chosen to host this awesome undergraduate conference for 3 years. This demonstrated our commitment to giving undergraduates excellent psychology experience. Our students also got to network with invited speakers, which served them well when applying for graduate schools and employment."  Westminster College, Host Institution for MUPC 2010, 2011, and 2012

"Having the priviledge of hosting MUPC at Lindenwood has strengthed our department and helped inspire our students to achieve.  It has drawn positive attention to our institution from people outside of Lindenwood as well as those within.  MUPC has also served as a great opportunity for us to invite our alumni to get involved and get connected.  Undergraduate students who may have otherwise not participated felt more comfortable taking part in a conference held on campus.  Students twho presented at MUPC in the are more likely to continue their scholarly activities.  There is a renewed surge of energy each time we host MUPC on campus."  Lindenwood University, Host Institution for MUPC 2009, 2014, and 2015
